Signing up to volunteer does not mean that attendance is required at every game and contest. We understand that every volunteer has commitments outside of the band boosters, and we will work to honor your time. Here are the areas where you can make a valuable contribution:

Chaperones

  • Ride buses with students to and from events (games, contests, etc.)
  • Load and unload instruments, props, and other equipment from trucks
  • Provide drinks after performances and meals during travel events
  • See the full chaperone guidelines for complete information

Uniform maintenance

  • Check uniforms in and out for both marching and concert season
  • Launder, steam, and match uniforms
  • Provide and collect plumes for performances

hospitality

  • Transport fast food meals from local restaurants to band hall for daily summer band lunches
  • Feed students during summer band lunch, before football games, and during marching contests

Prop Building

  • Construct props for marching band show
  • Maintain props in good working condition after use
  • Experience working with power tools is a plus!

equipment truck drivers

  • Transport instruments, props, and other equipment to football games and contests
  • Most games and contests are Fridays and Saturdays
  • Drivers must have a commercial drivers license (CDL)

Marching Contests

  • Sell tickets in our admission booth and concession stand
  • Prepare and serve food in concession stand
  • Assist bands with entrance to and exit from stadium grounds

Fundraisers

  • Cook and serve food at spaghetti or barbecue fundraiser dinner and concert
  • Work at the biannual fireworks warehouse fundraiser (Fourth of July and New Year's seasons; no background check required)
